I went to Meijer for 2 items and came out spending....

$100. Seriously- I went for soymilk and tea bags. That's all. I left with a bunch of other items too.  However, there is a strong possibilty I'll be returning $40 worth of stuff (swimsuit for me- I tried on every suit I own today and they look awful on me).

Anyone else have this issue?

  • Yes - but with Target.  I have a love/hate relationship with that store.

  • I adore Meijer.  I picked up a suuuper cute little storage cube ottoman for $25 on clearance and I can't stop staring at it.

Me too!  That store always pushes me over the edge!

Same here, if I spend under $100 it is a total victory.

Yup, H got to the point that he doesn't want me to go into Target unsupervised because there is no telling what I will come out with.

  • Target is usually the store I spend crazy time and money at. We actually have a 'target budget' Ha!!   Guess dh will have to give me a Meijer budget too :/

  • Oh yeah, Target is my store too.  When DH and I were really saving for the new house we stopped going to Target and Costco.  I bet that saved us a few hundred dollars a month! I may have paid a little more for certain items at the grocery store but I didn't buy any of the extra crap.

  • We have this problem with Sam's Club... it's a dangerous store... :-)

  • I have the same issue with Target and Sam's Club. DH will only let me go with him or with cash :(
  • I am that way with Target.   Have you signed up for Mperks at Meijer, you have to do it on the website but they have a ton of coupons on there and they give you $2 just for signing up.  I never heard of it but a friend was telling me about it the other day.  It's kind of like a Kroger card but you don't get a card you just use your phone#
