Incredible Pizza Co in Urbandale...
I could use some first-hand info on Incredible Pizza. We've never been there before, but DS wants his b-day party there next weekend.
They require 10 kids for a birthday party- and we'll only have 6 or 7 (which is fine by me b/c their parties are spendy!), so I thought about buying each kid a $10 game card (maybe $15 if fewer kids attend). Is it rude to ask them to buy their own lunch? (The buffet is only $4.59,)
If I understand it right, you buy the game card and it's good on bowling, bumper cars, go-kart and the other games, right?
Thanks!!
Re: Incredible Pizza Co in Urbandale...
I thought it was pretty fun. H is a kid at heart and we celebrated his birthday there 2 years ago. Granted, some of it was a little young for us (to be expected) and the go-karts only partially impressed.
I wouldn't do one of their birthday party packages unless you get some really great deal. Buy the kids lunch and a game card. I believe the go-karts were $3 or 4; some of the other things like mini-golf cost more too. I'd do $15 unless you plan on a very short party.
I'd be a little put off by having to buy my kids dinner at a birthday party. I'd rather have their meal paid for than the games, but of course you kind of have to do some games since that is why you are going there.
If you want to pay for the meals but save a little money, maybe just give them all some tokens? wait, i think it is all done by the cards now? the last time we were there you could get an "unlimited pass" for $5 for the games, go carts, etc. but no token games. I'm not sure if thta was a special night?
oh, and don't be too excited about the bowling like we were, it is really lame.
I agree. Buy their lunch and provide a $5-10 card. That's the same as making them pay their way and buying a $15 card, if not cheaper.
Just remind them that when it's gone, it's gone
