Yoga for beginners- (North Shore) Whats Your Recommendation??

Hi guy! I'm fairly new around here... been married a month tomorrow! I'm looking into taking some yoga classes and any suggestions of where to go would be helpful! Live in Danvers, but willing to travel a bit. I'd like a beginners class to begin with, and not "hot yoga" right away I want to make sure I can survive "regular" yoga first. haha. TIA!

  • Welcome to the board!

I don't know any places in the Danvers area but Yelp might be a good resource.  I did want to say that I'd actually recommend a heated yoga practice as it's much, much easier to stretch your muscles in a warm environment.  The heat is really not too bad IMHO and if you ever need a break for whatever reason you can just stop and go into a child's pose or whatever and pick back up when you're ready.  It's not nearly as intimidating as I was afraid it would be!

After trying a non-heated class once, I'll never go back.  It was so much harder to get into it.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
