mrBAMF's boss sent him a "I don't think I can approve your vacation time for Sept since we have XYZ going on the following week." email Fri afternoon, and he saw itt 1st thing this morning.
A: They had the same thing happen THIS year where their dedaline was OCT and XYZ happened this MARCH
, and B: I am not rearranging my vacation for his company. Nu uh. Not happening.
MrB needs a new job. stat.

I can't imagine working somewhere that I had to get my time off approved. I hope it all works out ok for you!

I think having to get time off approved is the norm in most workplaces. I know at least in my dept., it's not a good idea for more than one key member of our team to be out at once. I didn't get to go to WDW for Star Wars weekend because my boss was out (and we're under-staffed, so if he's out, I'm "it.").

kat, that SUCKS. i feel him pain, sorta....at the tv station, we had to get our time off approved, AND we couldn't even take time off 4 months out of the year. get him out before he goes craaaazzzyyy!!
