I've decided to go back to school and take culinary arts. eventually i hope to open my own bakery. What are some good schools in oklahoma that offer culinary?

What part of the state are you in? In the OKC area, I know Francis Tuttle offers cooking classes. I think they also have a culinary arts program.

all over the place actually. for the last 2 years i was in okmulgee. they had a culinary arts program there but i just moved south of Lawton. H is looking for a job in the okc area.

I don't know that not all culinary programs have the same focus, so make sure (with your plan) that you find one that offers a specialization/concentration in pastry. Definitely make sure you take a good number of business courses, too. Something like 90% of new food businesses fail within the first year, and the more prepared you are with your business plan, the better shot you'll have. Good luck!

I'm aware of the program at Francis Tuttle, and there's also Platt College. I've taken several culinary classes at Francis Tuttle and I really like them, but I don't have much of a frame of reference. I know they are also in the process of a construction project to upgrade one of their buildings that houses some of their kitchens and I hear it will be amazing when it's finished which hopefully won't be too much longer. I'd ask around and get some opinions from various students and teachers if you can.

One of my friends went to Platt College for her's. She now has a catering business and her and her husband just bought a B&B.
