Our power went out around 2 a.m. with that awful storm, and the tree in our front yard is completely down while one in our backyard has lost large branches. Our street looks crazy! I'm hoping I don't have to go to the extent of moving lots of fridge and freezer food....

Re: Bah. No power.
Ugh, that really sucks!!
I think the storm hit our side of town really hard, I woke up during it and it looked like a hurricane outside.
Holy cow, we're going to have a little sister!!

Every time we have a power outage, that is my first thought as well.
Holy cow, we're going to have a little sister!!
Boo! I normally sleep through storms, but that one woke me up so I turned on the TV to see what was going on and I had to laugh because it sounded like our house was going to blow away and I was listening for the sirens, but Channel 7 was all like "This is not a sever thunderstorm, maybe some wind in areas". I had to wondering what the heck it was doing down there because it was def. storming at our house!
Hope the power is back on soon for you!!
We're in Gretna - I never heard a thing, and there are no branches or even leaves down... weird!
Sorry S!! That sucks about your beautiful trees. I hope the power is back on for you soon. We had a power outage for 4 hours a few weeks ago when it was really hot and I was worried about all the BM in the freezer. Meat can be replaced. I can't replace my baby's milk!!
We live in West O, a little farther north than Gretna/Q Street. I slept through everything and our yard was in tact this morning. So it's possible we didn't get hit nearly as hard.
It was pretty bad in our neck of the woods!
I hope the power is back on for you soon. We're not too far if you need a place to hang out if it's not (you could get some cuddle bug time with a newborn).
