I chalk it up to them being major Seinfeld fans. Kidding of course. While it's NMS, at least it's not the first name and it certainly isn't the most eccentric of celebrity names that are out there.

But I do like the name Harper very much.

I immediately thought of Seinfeld. The name is NMS but in the realm of celebrity baby names- this one seems sort of tame.

I like Harper but wouldn't use it. It's the new Madison or Addison, IMO. Getting very popular. Seven is nms.

I don't mind Harper. They could have done a LOT worse. In the world of stupid celeb kid names...this really isn't bad.

This made me LOL because DH & I were talking about Baby#4 this morning and how we still don't have a boy name. I said at this point it's middle name is definitely going to be Quatro and we jsut needed a 1st name. haha

Harper is cute, although the first thing I think of is the red headed girl from Wizards of Waverly Place because thats her name.

I think the name was a pretty tame choice compared to some others. Like LD said Harper is becoming increasingly popular so I was surprised they chose something mainstream like that. If they had just chosen Seven as a middle name for the hell of it I would give it the side eye but since it has meaning to them I think it's fine.

I think most use Harper Lee (author of To Kill a Mockingbird) as their prime source for using it for a girl's name.

Also, whoever said it is the new Madison/Addison is spot on.

..and for the record it's not after To Kill a Mockingbird. Harper was my grandmother's maiden name

I always assumed it was from Harper Lee, the woman who wrote To kill a mockingbird. I never thought of it as a boy's name!

Harpers are definitely running rampant lately, I feel like the name popped up out of nowhere. At least they didn't give the baby the first name of Seven, now that would be way more Hollywood of them.

I guess? But it's actually her middle name I thought and it was a surname. Ehh whatever. I still like harlow in the har star names
