Hey ladies! Happy Friday!
Do you have any good plans for the weekend?
As for me, its going to be a 'Stay Close to Home' kind of weekend...the heat and a new baby do not mix.
Today/Friday: We have Avery's follow up doctor appointment to check her weight and such..after which, Id like to head into Manhattan to go to BuyBuyBaby to return some duplicate gifts we received. Then back home to cook dinner. Bistec Encebollado, cant wait. I think we have some friends coming over to meet the baby tonight also.
Tomorrow/Saturday: The husband has to work overtime - his ironworking job, so Avery and I will spend the day at home.
Sunday: Hubby gets to pick what we're doing for the day...maybe go for a nice walk in the city, or hit a museum. Something fun and easy to do with a new baby..
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Re: Happy Friday! Plans?!
Alisha, are you and MrsKocal twins? Because with babies you guys still seem to have packed weekend schedules...making my weekends seem downright shameful! LOLOLOL
Ok here are my weekend plans.
Tonight: Invited DH's family (wife +husband +teen daughter) from St. Thomas to spend the night with us. I was thinking of ordering pizza and get some beers. Should be fun!
Sat: laundry and cleaning, going to a Club in the city to celebrate a gal pal's birthday (not yet 100% sure I will go - what the heck will I wear?!); if not movies
Sun: church, baptism party at my neighbor's home!
Have a good weekend ladies!

Tonight: DH went out with friends who are visiting. Genevieve and I are home cleaning up so we can get out this weekend or have people visit. 5 loads of laundry to fold.
Tomorrow: Not sure what we will do, but I would like to get out of the house. I don't really have any more shopping to do.
Sunday: DH said we may go shopping for his clothes, meet with his friends and their wives and/ or get Genevieve's pictures taken. She outgrew the newborn dress I bought her for them.
*Alisha, good for you getting out after 1 week doing things. The baby was good, but I didn't feel comfortable walking until 2 weeks and normal at 3 weeks.
Today we went to Hudson River Park by Charles St and were really surprised to see it EMPTY... wow, it looked so different LOL
Then we headed up to whole foods to get some groceries and got home all saoked. Great.
Tomorrow and Sunday are going to be very relaxed. We'll catch a movie and have dinner at Saigon Grill (our absolute favorite) for sure.
Kinda hoping for some sunshine here.
PS - Congrats on your baby Alisha!
LMAO! I dont know, I just like to constantly be on the move, ya know? Its hard to stay in the house, and once the Doctor gave us the green light to take Avery out - thats it. I'm out and about.
Though, Im sure it wont be the same story with getting my butt to the gym. LOL. My OB gave the green light for me to start working out again (not hardcore) starting Wednesday..but I think I might take a little more time..LOLOL
Thanks, but I think I might have tried to get back on my feet a *little* too fast. Literally was up an hour after giving birth and really have been on my feet since then. Last couple of days, Im feeling pretty beat down and achy.
I might have to slow it down a little..ugh
Thank you!
