Accountability time -- what did you do that you were procrastinating on?

Following up on Kiahj's post from Friday, what did you do that you were procrastinating on?

For me - it was the act of writing out that list that got me in gear - I painted the toy box-turned-into-blanket chest, went to Joann Fabrics, bought the fabric and padding, came home and padded the top and IT'S DONE. Sure, I still need John to cut the wood for the bottom and install the casters but -- the box is 99% further on the road to completion than it was Friday morning!

I also went to Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco, Home Depot and Target - turns out that on unbearably hot Saturday afternoons, the traffic and the stores were not overly crowded and I got it all done in under three hours. And I saw Larry Crowne on Sunday (cute, but you can wait for the video).

So KiahJ  - you need to write that post every Friday to spur me into accountability mode!

Ha, I could probably write the post every day... I'm always procrastinating on something!

I finished the desk!!!  I buckled down and had it done by about 9pm on Friday.  Yay! Just waiting for the pulls that I ordered to arrive and it will be done!  I'm typing on my computer at it as we speak!

Of course, now I want to paint the entire room over.  And it is a biiiiiiig room.... so I'll be procrastinating on that for MONTHS.

I want to paint the basement (living area) and first floors of my house. I have the paint solors picked out -- since last fall. What's stopping me? I HATE TO PAINT CEILINGS and that's what is most needed! That task will beon my procrastination list into 2012, I think.

KiahJ - you're on for the weekly post on Fridays now! Big Smile Clearly it made at least the four of us do what we needed to do! (thanks!)

  • We packed the second bedroom this weekend.  DH finally picked up all his crap on the bed making all of this possible!  I went through all my school notes and threw out a good percentage of them (it was hard to do).  Then we packed the bedding for the bed and took apart the futon frame it was on to create more room for boxes!  In short that post was a great idea!

Oh and I uploaded the paper to the journal submission website.  I just need to fix the figures tonight and I am good to go.

  • Well I did email out my tasking to people in the office and even worked ahead getting some other stuff set up before leaving work on Friday.

This work I am determined to get stuff done around the house (a little each night) so I can relax and enjoy my day off on Friday.
