BR: TMI?

It's about poop.

Amelia has had two mucousy stools and the last one had a odd smell - I know that it will smell bad since she is supplemented with formula, but this was just terrible.

I have to call the peditrician later to change an appointment, but I wanted to get other mom's experience/opinons first. What say ye? I googled and a lot of the sites say she has 1) an allergy (her formula is cow's milk based...blech.) or 2) she has a tummy virus.

Help, please?

Is she congested at all? Stuffy, sniffles, snotty? Can you see the back of her throat? Is there mucous there? If yes, then I vote milk allergy. If not, I might give it another 4-6 hours and see how it goes. If the consistency is not changing, it could just pass and be over with. Remember, she could also be reacting to something YOU are eating, so take it easy on food high in acid - tomatoes, citrus and harsh greens (broccoli, spinach, etc.).

Ok, thanks. She isn't congested that I have noticed, but I will check her throat when she wakes for her next feeding. I'm at my mom's for the week, and she is a breastfeedingfoodnono nazi. NO CUKES FOR ME! NO CABBAGE FOR ME! I could go on, but I will spare you my mom
