Update!
Ultrasound #2 was this morning.
One healthy baby with a HR of 162!!
However, I had a tiny bit of spotting on Saturday so I'm still stuck on the couch today (even though there's been no more since). I was planning to go to work after the appt, but I guess a day off is okay! They are very over-cautious at the RE, and any amount of spotting means a minimum of 48 hours of modified bedrest. Better safe than sorry, but I'm going to have to come clean with my boss tomorrow.
They also told me that because of the spotting, I have to stay out of the sun in Florida (we're leaving Thursday for 6 days), and if we go to Epcot like we planned, we have to go in the evening. If we go shopping, A has to carry everything, etc.
Also, because of the PCOS and potential sugar/diabetes issues, I can't eat sweets or really any carbs. It's going to be rough on vacation!!

Try not to over analyze the spotting, it's obviously something to look out for and to get checked out and to take all the precautions they mentioned, but some spotting can be normal during pregnancy.
Coming clean to your boss will make it feel even that much more real!
Staying out of the sun isn't a bad idea either. Your skin becomes very sensitive during pregnancy as my OB explained when I came in burnt yet still having used sunscreen!
Bummer about the sweets though! Will they have you do an early GD test? (They had me do one at 20 weeks because there is a history of it in the family and I am not the ideal weight.)So exciting!! I'm glad everything looks great-- I'm sorry you had a little spotting though. I bet it was stressful at the time and it's always good to be cautious.
And staying out of the sun is ok- but hard for FL! I've been reacting (DH says it looks like an allergic reaction) and turning lobster red in the sun. It fades when I go inside and I've been getting a nice little tan but it's so weird and everyone around me flips out when it happens.

Try to take it as easy as possible. I know it's easier said than done, especially while on vacation. But like you said, better safe than sorry. I'm so happy for you!

I am so happy for you and A! I am sure the spotting was stressful - I know SO many women that had a lot of spotting bleeding in the first trimester and ended up delivering perfectly healthy babies. It is super common (but you know this) but I'm glad the RE is being cautious, because you want to feel like you're doing everything you can to have a healthy outcome.
Anyway, I was thinking about you all morning; glad things looked good and you know that once you see a good strong heartbeat you've passed a good milestone :-)

The spotting was very minimal, no SCH, probably just some kind of irritation. But they like to be very careful. The worst - no sex until after 12 weeks. Poor DH!!
It was amazing to see how much had changed from the 5w5d u/s to today. This baby has a HUGE head. LOL
I also lost 4lbs from my last appt, but they said that's okay.
