Hello??

Anyone here?  I can't believe it's almost 11am and no good morning thread!  Shauni, you should be ashamed of yourself! :-P

How was everyone's weekend?  Mine was fairly uneventful.  We went to see Horrible Bosses on Saturday.  It was hilarious!  And I feel better about the popcorn I ate because we walked the 2.5 mile round trip.  Yeah, calorie cancel out! :-)

We went shopping yesterday and bought a new camping grill and some things to get ready for the weekend.  We're going to a music festival this weekend, and I'm overly excited that I only work Mon-Wed.  Thank you, summer vacation loving baby Jesus!

Re: Hello??

  • I know, I was just coming to start one. I didn't start one early because I really had nothing to say.

We had a relaxing weekend. We dog sat Saturday night. Besides that we pretty much just hung around the house, I think we are taking advantage of just us time and doing nothing.Next weekend will be busy the Red Sox are in town so we will go to at least 1 game maybe more.

  • Hi - wow, I can't believe I'm the second person, guess everyone is busy? Weekend was good, we went to a lake on Saturday with the dog for a few hours...walked around and swam. I ended up wearing a sports bra under my tank top so now I have the sports bra tan on my upper body. Yesterday, FIL finished the work on the wheel bearings on my truck and it drives much better now. I also started painting some of the trim in our place white and it makes a huge difference (it was beige before, blah) and looks better with the new color we painted a few months back. I also had to get a new lunch bag and water bottle for work, bought some fresh fruit and corn from one of the farm stands here and was in bed by 10p.

Tonight after work we're going to hit up a regional park and go for a trail run/hike, about 3 miles. Good day!

  • I'm here. Had checked for a Monday thread, but hadn't gotten around to starting one myself. The weekend was nice... got a call and was 'let go' from my waitress job on Saturday, not too worried about it. I have been trying to work up the nerve to quit anyway. So they just beat me to the punch. Happy to have my weekends back. :) I'll get something full-time soon, I hope... I've been looking, so this will just spur me on I think.

Today I'm trying to get my phone to share it's internet connection wih my computer at home so I don't have to drive to WiFi to do anything important. Working on getting my etsy shop started so I can get it printed on my business cards. So much to do. Also, its rainy, thundering, and supposed be hot here today, so I'm planning on staying inside trying to accomplish something on my ever growing list. Thinking about doing a quick reread of Deathly Hallows before I go see the last movie sometime in the next week or so. I'm not a FANatic of the movies really, so I wont be going when it opens, but I can't imagine not going at all. Anyone have thoughts on any of that?

  • Hi all!

I am finally back home since we had been dog/cat/chicken/house sitting for the in laws from Friday to Friday. It has been so nice to sleep in my own bed this weekend.

This weekend DH and I both worked a lot, but enjoyed a some what day off Saturday. I planted a few more plants in the garden, weeded, and watered everything. I ran errands, cleaned the house, and actually had time to make a big dinner plus dessert.

Yesterday our kitchen sink faucet decided to not shut off. It is old and something isn't sealing properly somewhere, so we turned off the water under the sink, but it is still dripping a little. Today I have to order a new faucet (because we live in the middle of nowhere) and hope it gets here soon.

  • We might try to see Horrible Bosses this coming weekend. I have Fandango tickets from a Living Social deal. Holler.

This is my lost weekend with Gail, MFD's cousin. We caroused and boozed and swam and laughed. It was great fun yet damaging to the liver.

I did also buy two dresses a size smaller. Yippee.

I feel like this week is going to be an a$$hole.

It started out like a douche because I woke up at 8:31. No lie. WTF. My alarm was not turned on and I went to bed at 12 last night. I woke up a few times but didn't take my sleep mask off, I was like no no I will wait for the alarm to go off, I went to bed late I need the rest. Grrr. Oh well at least I got 8.5 hours of sleep and no one missed me here this morning.

Tons of errands to run tonight and things to do Tuesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night too. Poopy.

My kitchen needs a deep clean.

This is my boss's last week in the office before a two week vacation. He is out today and tomorrow. We have two proposals to get done in addition to a meeting by Friday. Really?

I wish this would happen to me.

I have been saying I am going to quit for 2 years. First, it was after football season(I make good money during fb season) than we got engaged so I could use the extra money. After the wedding it was well till I get pregnant. Well here I am pregnant and still working, I feel fine and now new timeline is when I feel I can't anymore I will quit.

Unfortuantly, we are really good friends with the owner. Greg works at the other restraunt (he owns 2). So being "let go" I'm sure won't ever happenCrying

  • Yeah, I have been there for two years and it was supposed to just be temporary from the start, extra money for the wedding was one reason I stayed. Lately, I was trying to make it through the summer or until I found something else, but I have a big mouth and speak my opinions, so 'no one wanted to work with me'... well, maybe if people would actually DO thier job instead of of constantly going outside to smoke when it's slow and talking nonstop instead of closing down when its time. I was easily annoyed by crap like that so I would say so... whatever, my etching business has been slowing gaining and like I said I have been looking for something full time for a while now. Sorry for my rant... I guess I should get back to something productive. :)

    Fourth Anniversary

    Morning!

We had a busy busy weekend, went to SF on Saturday as a just because (it's a silly ploy by H to get 8 US Airways points per $ spent at a Mariott, don't ask!), and we did shopping for the bebe.  H was super cute, picking stuff out at Gap, etc.  Had a lovely dinner at a new to us Indian restaurant.

Our floors went in last Thurs/Fri, and we are so stoked!  They look really nice.  Contractor comes back tomorrow to put in the new baseboards, then we can put the house back together and take pics to share.

Oh, and I keep hearing real people say Horrible Bosses was good, so maybe we will have to see it.  I thought it was supposed to be terrible?

  • Hey there girlies!  I'm around.  Just lurking a lot today.  I had a very relaxing weekend at our friend's lake house.  It was fantastic.

I'm just taking it easy today.  Trying to keep my sanity till tomorrow.  Moment of truth!  (when we find out if the baby is still growing)

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

You know, I wasn't expecting much.  We went and saw Bad Teacher last week and it was just okay.  The funny parts were all in the previews.  I was expecting Horrible Bosses to be the same, but it was actually pretty damn funny the whole way through.  Charlie Day (the guy from It's Always Sunny) cracks me up.

...but I have a big mouth and speak my opinions, so 'no one wanted to work with me'... well, maybe if people would actually DO thier job

:-(  Some people have no appreciation for honesty...I found out through the grapevine that someone who posted for a job in my section didn't get it and then said "it's probably better b/c I heard SusieQ is a b*tch and I don't think i would have liked working with her."  Irony?  The person who said it has quite a reputation herself.  Luckily my work friends stood up for me to her...

Will be checking hourly to see your update...hoping you only have good news to report.

Fabulous weekend here...IL's left for the beach for a week.  Baby Q and I visited my family on a whim Saturday morning, then hung with DH in the afternoon/evening.  Sunday we slept late, DH made breakfast, we washed all four cars and then went out for dinner.  Happy, peaceful weekend.  Now onto a busy week as we are camping again next weekend...

Dia - sending you good, good vibes for tomorrow!

Susie - glad your coworkers stood up for you!  How rude.

  • Susie/Steph- yes I am taking it as a sign that something better is on the horizon and I wasn't supposed to be there for it to happen. It really wasn't my thing anyway, just something to make some extra dough.

Dia- Keep us updated. Lots of T&Ps headed your way. :)

  • My Monday was hellish. Carter's belly must have been hurting him all night and morning which meant no sleep for mommy. I finally got 4 hours this afternoon. Thank you baby Jesus. I did finally start to drive again this weekend! :) I feel like a human again! Hopefully sleep awaits us tonight so I am around tomorrow!

Alicia- Good Luck tomorrow!! I'll be thinking of you and Chris!
