is this super ghetto?

we are not big wine drinkers in our house. beer and hard alcohol, sure, but just not a lot of wine. however, sometimes i need a small amount of wine for a recipe, and i'm tired of opening up a bottle to use a cup, and then it sits in the fridge until it's gone bad and i throw it out.

would it be super ghetto for me to get those four-packs of little bottles of wine so that i waste less?

Ghetto would be if you bought a bottle of St. Ide's to use. This is not ghetto.

Not ghetto at all, actually a good idea. But if you want something for cooking I use vermouth in place of white wine. Its a great flavor and works perfect for so many things.

Nope, makes sense.

But the wine snobbo in me says to get something kind of decent - even if a small 4 pack...you wouldn't want to cook w/ something you wouldn't drink, if that makes sense...(e.g. if it's a nasty wine, why would you want to cook w it).
