So last night, H got a recommendation for a hemotologist for me. Turns out one of the people in his jewelry class is an immunologist and recommended this other doctor.
So I called to set up a consultation appointment. I want to see about doing something for the swelling and for preventative measure since I can't take aspirin anymore. They requested that I fax over all of my blood work from all of my doctors from the start of the clotting issue to now.
I spent my morning calling doctors' offices and having this stuff faxed to me. 17 pages later I'm sending it off to the hemotologist.
It would have been easier to have the tests run again, IMO. I'm betting I won't get an appointment for at least a month.
Re: 17 Freakin' Pages!
Nope. Luckily I haven't been to that many regarding this and 2 of them had the same tests and shared the results.
So I got my blood work from my GI which has nothing to do with the clotting issue (other than me not being able to take the aspirin) and that was like 2 pages. The rest were all of the tests from the battery they did when I first clotted.
I could have done without refamiliarizing myself with this.
I just a friendly gal looking for options.
