My daughter is 3YO right now, her birthday is at the end of October. This appears to be after a general cut-off date for putting kids in preschool, so if she goes this year she'll go next year too because she'll still be too young for kindergarten (this is according to the one preschool I've talked to so far).
I'm pretty clueless on how to go about looking for a preschool. I've kind of let it sneak up on me after spending most of the past two years going through a divorce, and I'm not sure if she should be going this year, or what I should even do? I'd be looking for a location either in the Northwest area (we live off of the Irvington exit) or down in Bellevue by 48th & Harrison (where my mom lives - she watches the girls during the day).

Re: Preschool ?
Holly & I both live off the Irvington exit, and our kiddos go to Stonebridge Preschool. We have had a good experience there so far.
I know at least another 2 kids from our neighborhood that will be going there this fall, so there might be some car pool options if you need that.
DD will be going Mon/Wed.
ETA: Wow. I needed to fix some bad typos.
Elsie goes to Maplewood Preschool on 96th & Maplewood Blvd (just N of Maple in the neighborhood).
We sent E this last year to the 3 year old class (two 1/2 days per week); this year she'll be in the 4-year old class (three 1/2 days per week); and next school year she'll do the five 1/2 days per week since they changed the kindergarten cut off date to July 31st.
Google Maplewood Preschool. They have a website with info. HTH's.
The deadline is changing, so you'll be hearing that from other preschools, as well!
We took Alyssa to St. Paul Preschool at St. Paul United Methodist Church. It's where my little brother went years ago. We "interviewed" several schools, and loved this one, and this is the one that she liked the most. It is in Benson, though.
