Stuff Your Town Is Missing
I just read on Twitter that 7-11 is giving away free Slurpees today & it made me realize I haven't seen a 7-11 in Jax. Is there one?
What else are we missing? For the non-Jax ladies, what is your town missing?
I know Jax doesn't have a Macy's (lame).
Does Tallahassee have a Denny's that doesn't racially segregate yet?
Re: Stuff Your Town Is Missing
I think you're right about the 7-11. I think we used to have them but they closed.
We're missing Macy's like you said (although I don't think I've ever been in a Macy's), Ikea, Buy Buy Baby, Jack in the Box...
The things I miss the most are Trader Joe's, Jack-in-the-Box, Hot Dog on a Stick and In N Out.
Macy's and Ikea are two hours away...that's doable.
They actually turned the 24 hour diner at FSU into a Dennys. I haven't been yet though.
We also don't have a 7-11. :-( We also really need a Krystals.
Ugh. That diner sucked. I remember going there with my Ex. He LOVED it, but I thought it sucked.
You need to move.
Mmmmm, slurpees. I get one (or 10) every time I go to Michigan. I wish we had an Ikea closer. Now that I'm preggers....definitely more baby stores. The only places here to buy nursery furniture IN PERSON are Target (eh), Walmart (double eh), Storkland (really nice, but expensive) and Toys R Us (which has a very limited selection in store.) I know I have a lot more, but can't think!
I also wish we had more events. In the fall, there's the art fest, 1,000 Christmas craft shows, etc. and I love it. I wish we had more throughout the year. Also, pretty much no big concerts come near here. And I'm a concert kinda girl. We're getting a minor league baseball team, which DH is beside himself excited over. He's already bought season tix for 2 years. lol
This reminded me...also missing Baja Fresh and Poquito Mas.
Jacksonville has both Jimmy Johns & Chipotle. I think Tallahassee does too.
Ditto we need a freaking 7-11. We had a Krystals here on Tenn St when I was a freshman. They keep showing commercials for Red Robin and we don't have one of those either.
Oh CD...you might be upset to hear (if you haven't already) that they closed the BW3 here.

I heard...
My bartender/attorney told me last week. I told him that I felt like a piece of my soul was dying & if I were Lord Voldemort, BW3s would've been one of my horcruxes.
I don't think it's anything special. I prefer Moe's actually.
Ditto KK on the Red Robin. There's one in Port Orange, but that is too far for a fancy Steak & Shake. I still want it though. I watched about a billion episodes of Top Chef while pregnant and those damn Red Robin commercials constantly made me crave it at 11 pm. But nooooo
OMG yes to Red Robin! Espcially while pg!!
Yup, we have both. Shoot, we have 3 (soon to be 4) Jimmy Johns and 2 Chipotles.
Oh, how I miss Jack in the Box and In N Out. I had heard they were bringing Jack in the Box to Jax. Did that plan end up fizzling?
