Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

It's been a major nestie T&P weekend, sorry to add one more to the pot.....
MIL called this weekend to let S know that his grandfather (her dad) has very advanced prostate cancer. They are doing further tests to see if it has spread, but they have basically told him "it doesn't look good." S is handling it well, but I think we may headed back to VT in August to see him again. S's grandmother died of breast cancer about 25 years ago, and his grandfather watched her go through treatment and it made him really upset, so he is 100% against any treatment at this point. While we are all hoping that he changes his mind, he's very stubborn and set in his ways, so the best we hope for right now is that he makes an informed decision when given the options this week.

My grandfather was also diagnosed with prostate cancer and refused any treatment. I know how frustrating, angry and devastating the whole situation can be to watch from the outside. Lots of hugs!
