Re: PSA: Restaurant week
I am so bummed that I won't be able to go to this one. Dh and I love restaurant week but I'm busy every night through the 19th. Ugh.
Our favorite is Oceanaire.
My Blog
Oh my gosh, how did I miss this? I usually get emails about it from opentable.com!
I love Oceanaire too, and the RW deal is great since you'd never get a meal there that cheap otherwise.
We did Ruth's Chris last time it was RW and it was awesome. I don't even eat steak and I loved that place. My steak-loving hubby was in heaven and I had some wonderful salmon.
I've heard Al Vento is also great for RW, and I think their dinner is only $15.
I've done the Highland Grill for RW before too, and the food was good, but they don't take reservations so it was hard to get a table. We had to wait quite awhile and they have a VERY small waiting area. Not ideal in the middle of winter, but in the summer, it would be fine to wait outside.
I went to Cafe Vin for RW about 2 years ago (maybe less?), and it was good. I'm not a huge fan of French cuisine, but I liked my food. I tried an escargot appetizer and it was great. The only thing I would suggest there is to not go too late in the evening. They had run out of all but one dessert by the time we were ready for our final course, and we had a 7:30 reservation so it wasn't all that late.

I'm going here tomorrow with some girlfriends! Our reservations are at 6:30 so hopefully we get dessert:)
DH and I went to Cafe Lurcat last night and loved it! We ended doing their Sunday date night menu because it was cheaper/better deal than RW menu, but it was essentially the same options. We split the thai meatballs, apple/cheese/chive salad, pork tenderloin and udon noodles with chicken with french fries on the side, and doughnuts and chocolate cake. It was a lot of food but very good!
I wish we could check out more, but time and money don't allow it this time:/
Last restaurant week we went to Ruth Chris, num!
Last night we went to Fogo de Chao, it was good, but not really our thing. DH and I aren't "all you can eat" type people.
