I'm very close to hanging up the professional camera strap.
I'm wanting more and more to just be at home with my boys, and having a studio hasn't really helped the profits. In fact, the extra expense of child care is putting us in a bind. Not to mention all the drama and hostility the photo world is becoming in this area. I've been back-stabbed once, and I don't care to see it happen again. The thought of selling my backdrops makes me want to cry, but the idea of the freedom of not messing with sales & use taxes makes me want to jump for joy.
I've mentioned quitting to DH several times over the last month or two, and last night it kept me awake. We are both really struggling with what God's plan is for us right now, as everything keeps getting turned upside down. Prayers and advice would be appreciated. I could use some clarity and wisdom right now.
Re: T&P Please and advice might help...
Could you drop to part time? Could you do it out of your home instead of in a studio (a extra room or garage)? What about outdoor shoots only, and no backdrops?
Sending T&P your way. I hope you are able to find an answer/direction easily and quickly. Good luck.
Would you guys be okay if you didn't work? You do great work and I hate for you to give it up, but I am sure it is hard for you.
Could you do part-time? Do outside work only and not studio? Only do special occasions?
