The guy who killed my friends parents gets the death penalty. His lawyer said he was guilty in hopes of sparing his life. No dice.

Yeah, their son (Ryan) was living with my BFF at the time (just roommates) we were part of the search crew initially.
He's an amazing person and I can only imagine that it's due to his parents/family. I still feel awful for him, it's not exactly something you just get over. He's moved on, and will be able to move on even more now, but it's always going to be there.
