Local service review
Not sure if anyone's looking for waxing service, but do NOT use Nicki at Taylor Lane & Co. Day Spa (off Baymeadows/9A). I had my brows and a brazilian done last week, and it was AWFUL!
I've never complained about a brazilian, but she went super fast (like, wasn't even listening, just wanted to get me done and out fast), had the wax too hot (it hurt when applied and I had a burn mark on my inner thigh that night), and it just wasn't a good experience overall.
I still love the spa (have used them for massages so far), but I won't be using girlie again for sure!

Laner, I assume you mean the 10th Ave groupon? I meant to follow up.....I asked my hair dresser about the lady who was featured on the Groupon. She said she had never used her and implied w/out actually saying that she wouldn't use her. She said she prefers Ott. Ott is who did mine when I went there. So I felt bad recommending 10th Ave, b/c I thought Ott was the only one who did them. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. But, I hope it doesn't make you give up on 10th Ave. haha Ott is good and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. (it was my first wax. If you're a frequent waxer, I suppose the comfort factor may not be an issue.)
Yeah, luckily I had a pretty decent discount too, but it still sucked!
