T&P please
I have previously posted about my grandmother and her recent health struggles. After her most recent hospital stay, she seemed to be rebounding per her usual feisty self. Her desire all along was to be able to come back to Michigan this summer to see her family and friends. She was given the clear to do so by her doctors, and arrived last Tuesday. I had yet to be able to go out to see her, but was told that she was doing well and in good spirits. Unfortunately, she (rather unexpectedly) passed away on Saturday evening after laying down to take a nap.
My grandmother was the epitome of the matriarch, and was the cornerstone of our family. She raised a generation of strong, independent women, that then passed their dreams and ambitions down to her 18 grandchildren, in particular her granddaughters. To say that she will be missed simply does not do justice to how we all feel. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
