I heard about this - eek! I just hope the kid's OK... it seems to me that the gestational diabetes would have had something to do with it and maybe it wasn't properly managed.
On the other hand, I'm kinda loving the name JaMichael.

Dh's Mom had gestational diabetes when she had him. Thankfully he was only 8lbs or so. He was also born in Spain and they knocked her out to deliver him. He was also the biggest baby in the hospital. I teased him when I found out that he was the Godzilla baby in the Spanish hospital.
I read about that the other day. That is crazy.
