anyone ever lay down ceramic tile?
i'd like to replace our carpeting in our finished basement with a hard surface. i wanted to do stained concrete but it looks like a lot for a DIY project and way too expensive to hire someone.
how hard is laying tile? is it as big a pain as it looks? fortunately we won't have to do a cement backer board since it's on concrete. i'm wondering if it might be something we could tackle on our own.

Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

i have not...but the thought of doing the cement stuff that sticks it to the ground (really techincal, huh!?) makes me SUPER nervous. you have to have the trowel at the right angel, you can't squish the tiles down too much, just enough, etc. i dunno...freaks me out.
