    Nope.  Sad 

    He wouldn't leave me alone in the grocery store and didn't buy my excuse as to why I was buying a particular ingredient I use for his special birthday cake. 

    *sigh* Oh well. Later this afternoon, he's stopping by Game Stop to pre-order his birthday present, which I was also going to surprise him with, but then couldn't because he kept saying he was going to go pre-order it himself. 

    I swear, we'll be in our 80s before I manage to surprise the man...  Confused

    That's a bummer, at least you were finally able to do a solo party. I bet that alone was really special for him, even without the surprise element!

    He did thank me quite a few times... And he is happily eating leftover birthday cake-- which would not exist if we had shared it with his family!  LOL
