is this normal?

hey girls! hows everyone...i just have a quick question.

I have been off BC for about 3 months now my 1st two periods have been right on time but a little short like 3-4 days. Then this month I am now a week late. I have tested twice and it comes back neg. at what point would I call my drs? Is it normal to have two regular periods then go to it being late? I have been on bc for a while and one other time I came off (i was on depo shot and wanted off for many reasons) and i didnt have this issue.

I think it's usual for our bodies to react differently after BCP. Unless your gut is telling you something is wrong, I'd wait a while before calling your doc. If you don't get your next "scheduled" period, (I think SOP is at the Day 60 mark), call your doc- s/he can give you something to start your period. A friend of mine had PCOS and has to take Provera to start her cycle. If you suspect PCOS or just want to learn more about your body, you can try charting. I temped and used OPKs while I was TTC and found it helpful. Good luck!

I came off BC in March and I had the same thing happen to me. My 2nd period off was at about day 50...and yes I freaked out and took preg tests and everything which came back negative obviously. It's just your body trying to adjust back to normal. I say don't worry.

Yep it is! Like the other girls said, wait it out a little while longer. When I went off my Dr. told me that the first few may be a little wacky, and if I felt like something was wrong that I should call her. Fortunately everything stayed fairly regular for me.

I went off in May - Got my first period no problem, and havent gotten on since. I am gonna go to go next month if I dont get it again. Hope that helps
