So, we got the a/c in the window around 10:30 last night, wooo! Except that it stopped working when I was playing around with the thermostat, boooo. Derek played around with it a bit and we figured there was just too much current draw on the circuit, so we left it on hoping it would kick in over night. It didn't. 'Cept that when I took a look at it this morning it was on Fan only, not Cool. Durrrr. So yeah, it's working fine. Tonight we have to figure out a way to block off the stairwell and get the door to the second bedroom closed so that Erin can enjoy some of the cool too.
It's supposed to be stupid hot again today, so I think tonight will be pretty low key.
How is everyone today?
Re: Good Morning!
It is hotter/more humid here today than yesterday. Blech. I actually got in a great treadmill run yesterday (in just a sports bra and underwear...I was looking pretty hot--HA! Thank God it is in my basement), so I may try that again today. Other than that, yesterday was pretty low key.
My only plans for today is to work on some school stuff, run, do a little laundry, and maybe go and get mulch that I decided against doing yesterday. Tonight we may or may not go to trivia at the local pub if we have friends come down. If it is just Ed and I we probably won't bother though and I'll just grill instead.

Hello ladies. I've had a busy day so far, not particularly work related, but whatever. I'm in a development programme at work that has paired us with coaches to discuss career progression and goals, and I had my first session with my coach this morning. Went really well, and nice to put some structure around what my next moves at work should be.
I also just got back from getting an MRI. Hopefully the results will provide some insight into why my back has been so spectacularly crappy recently.
A bunch of stuff has come up at work, so the afternoon should be pretty busy and hopefully go fast. Just vegging out tonight, maybe do some thinking of what to do with my parents when they visit.

Morning ladies.
Last night was uneventful. Hot and humid, and it is already that way again today.
I have another busy day at work, but getting ready to order food and the cake for the boys party this weekend. Seriously, I think I am going to cry. I can't believe they will be one.
Tonight will be low key, probably some laundry and snuggle time with the boys.
Have a great day everyone!
It is stupid hot again here today as well. It was 85 + humidity when I was walking to work this morning. Today is one of those days when I wonder why I even bothered to do anything to my hair.
I didn't do anything very exciting last night since Kyle is gone. I got in a good workout (I'm quite sore today) and did a little work around the house. Otherwise, the animals and I took it easy and stayed indoors away from the heat. The dog doesn't even like to go out on walks when it gets to be this hot. He has a lot of fur and would much prefer to stay in the a/c.
Hi all! I was busy at work yesterday so didn't get to post about my weekend in the Berkshires, but we had a GREAT time. Except it rained during our concert at Tanglewood - and unfortunately we had lawn seats so we could picnic and drink wine during the performance. We still stayed for the whole thing though, and the Symphony and opera singers were fabulous. I already can't wait to go back next summer. Also, H's sucky work called at the last minute and forced him to go to NY on Sunday morning so it kind of cut our weekend away in half - which was especially frustrating because we only get about 5 weekends together during the summer as it is. Oh well.
Last night I went to the gym, my parents swung by and dropped off their dog while they're staying at a hotel downtown for my dad's conference, and then I baked a Bailey's cheesecake and made curry for dinner. Yum, I can't wait to have some of the cheesecake tonight. My sister and her boyfriend have been staying with us since Thursday and they are leaving this morning - I kind of can't wait to have my apartment back to myself!
No heat for us here in CO, we're drowning in rain! It has rained every day for the past week and it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon. More heavy rain and flooding in todays forecast.
Last night was really low key because of the rain, I mostly just sat in front of the tv and did a little light cleaning. Nothing exciting planned for this evening other than a workout.
Good Morning!
Last night was good. DH met with a potential employer and talked with him for 2 hours at a restaurant about work. I really like the idea of this firm so I hope he gets a good offer. This lawyer seems to have a good balance between life and work.
We then met up with my BIL and his girlfriend to celebrate my BIL moving up to the next round in a law school competition.
I also had a great run and am happy to be noticing that I'm getting stronger.
Tonight I have no plans except a good work out and maybe some of the Television show Top Gear.
It's supposed to be stupid hot here today, too. It's already disgusting outside and it's only 10:30. I've got a crap ton of work to do and I brought my lunch, so hopefully I won't have to go outside again until it's time to go home.
I started making a scarf for my SIL for Christmas last night and I found out that one of my BFFs is having a baby boy, so I get to start trying to knit cute baby things since I know what color to make them. Very excited.

Good morning, ladies.
Lots to do before we go camping this weekend. I have to get ahead at work so I'm not a burden on my CWs, plus shopping, laundry and packing. I hope it stops raining - nothing worse than tent camping in the rain.
Have a great day, everyone!
We didn't do to much last night. My step-daughter went on and on about her cooking camp. They learned to break down an entire chicken, and at one point DH and I though we'd be heading to the store, because she wanted to show us!
I will admit I can't wait until Friday. Their final assignment is making chicken parmigiana, vegetarian lasagna and cream puffs to bring home to their families for dinner.
Tonight is dinner and a movie at home, the weather isn't supposed to be all that great.
That's so fun! I wish I had a houseguest who would make me dinner! When my sisters stayed with me the last couple days, all they made was a mess.
Hey guys!
I just got back from walking back from class (with a detour to a shoe sale!). My bra is totally soaked with sweat... gross!
Tonight, we're going to see Carrie Fischer's one woman show Wishful Drinking. I think it's going to be fun! I don't know what the reviews are like though...

It's pretty disgusting outside today. Work was pretty uneventful.
Last night all I did was ab ripper X and then went to my friends to watch Pirrhana 3D (without the 3d). It was so horrible and funny.
Tonight I'm meeting a friend for dinner and then I'm going to come home and go for a run once it's cooled off and the sun is down a bit.
