I missed last week since I was out of town, so today I'll report that over the past 2 weeks I am down 3 lbs! Today I also hit the 25 lbs lost mark, which puts me halfway to my goal. (I think, I'm not totally sure where I want to end up, but I do know I want to get down to a healthy weight.) woohoo!
I went to the gym last night and decided to start doing some incline work on the treadmill. We're talking about doing some hiking in the mountains on our next trip (and I'm sure on many others.) We've done it before but I always struggle so much with the uphills. I'd love to be able to train and get into good enough shape that I'll be able to keep up without feeling like I'm going to die.
So it's kind of motivating to do a workout from a "training" perspective rather than just a "weight loss" perspective. That's sort of new for me.
How'd you all do?

I found my appetite again, so I'm holding steady. I was down at the end of last week, but now I can eat again so it's back.
In other/related news, I'm going to the doctor to get my thyroid checked tomorrow. Maybe it'll help me drop the weight I've gained without starving myself.
Well, I was down 3.5 pounds when we left on our trip, and then we were hostage to the food others bought, which was essentially hamburgers and hotdogs, all week. So I came back 5 lbs up from that. ARGH
But now I'm back down 3 lbs from that so I guess that makes me... 1.5 lbs up from where I left. Or something like that. Anyway, not too far off from where I started, I guess.

I've been very bad. I don't eat that horribly, but what I do eat, I eat a lot of. I did about 30 minutes on the treadmill last week, at 3.0 mph. I was up about 2 pounds from the last time I weighed myself.
I am very embarrassed to admit that I need to buy some new pants ... the ones I wore to work yesterday that used to fall off me were extremely tight. I weigh about 15 pounds more now than I did when I worked at the college before. I don't know what made me think I would be able to wear the same clothes.
Shoot me.

Right there with you - I'm up 17 pounds and weigh more than I ever have in my life. It's quite depressing.
I have gained double that but I can only blame myself. Actually I will blame Olivia ... I never liked ice cream before I got pregnant and now I can't stop thinking about it.
Atleast it will be good running weather by the time I can start working out again.
I'm up 1.2lb from my starting.. but down about a lb from where I reached shortly AFTER my starting. lol. I just started to really get serious within the last week, so we'll see what happens.
I now call walking on an incline on the treadmill "getting my grand canyon on."
