to charge or not to charge?

If you were buying a "personal" product that required a charge prior to use, would you prefer it to be charged when you purchase it?

I am torn b/c people generally want to use their item when they get home. If I leave it in the bag as is, they must charge for 8 hours. But, I can open it and pre-charge it so they can enjoy. I am the only one that touches it and I clean it before repackaging.

So, would it weird you out to know it was opened and charged or would you be appreciative of the ability to get instant gratification from your purchase?

TIA

Re: to charge or not to charge?

  • I'm sure you're the only one that touches it and would clean it...and while the thought is nice, I would never touch anything that isn't sealed up tight in brand new packaging.

  • I read this whole thing twice thinking charge was sending an invoice to someone.
  • If it were me, I'd prefer it un-opened, TYVM.

  • Uncharged and sealed in new packaging.

    I did the same thing.

  • I'd prefer it in new packaging as well, the idea of someone else touching that kind of item, even if they cleaned it, is just ick to me.

  • Uncharged and sealed. I can't imagine absolutely needing to use the item the second I got home. I'm assuming I waited for my order to come in, so what's 8 more hours?

  • OMG, it took me like 5 times to understand this, reading comprehension fail. I would be grossed out if it was unsealed charged.

What she said.  Don't do it.

This is what I was thinking! What in the world is the rush??

    I agree with this!

  • Thanks ladies. This confirms what I have been doing. I had a guest upset so I thought maybe I was off-kilter in my thinking and making too much out of it.

I don't remember who said it but this would only apply to something they bought from inventory at the party. I have everything else drop shipped so I don't have to handle it =)

    Thank you again!
