3. Rants/Raves/Comments NCR, but I wish LA would reset her internal alarm clock---or at least hit the snooze every once in a while! It is summer and I would like to sleep in a little kiddo!! Oh, another rant--the spammer needs to GO! Did you notice it revived posts from a year ago?

3. Rants/Raves/Comments I
Etsy. I just discovered patterns there and find them much easier to read than those mass produced by a big company. And with pictures at each step, if I don't understand at first, one look at the pics usually helps.
4. Once again, I have NOTHIN' for #4. So, if you have a topic--go for it!!! I noticed after reading JIL's blog that we are sorority sisters. I knew I liked her before, but this just seals the deal!
1. I sorta finished the Sheepy Hat from 60 Quick Baby Knits. But it needs serious blocking, I have to figure out a French knot, and I have to sew the pieces together.
2. A second Sheepy Hat in a slightly larger size, and not as puckered when I change yarn colors. And a skirted soaker in a yarn colorway named after my DD.
3. I'm curious how Sheepy Hat #2 looks compared to the first one. I'm figuring out how to carry yarn behind a project and not mess up the texture
4. Please, someone make my child sleep! She's been somewhere between dozing and fussing way too early this morning.

1. Finished Projects: Nothing again. I am a slacker
2. In the queue: T-Shirt Quilt for my sister. I finally cut some sashing last night and sewed it to a block! Woot!
3. Rants/Raves/Comments I got a new Olfa Self Healing Mat yesterday since my dumb butt left my old one in the car and royally fvcked it up. It makes me happy to have a new one.
4. Once again, I have NOTHIN' for #4. So, if you have a topic--go for it!!!

3. Rants/Raves/Comments NCR, but DH has to drive an hour away for an audit every day this week, which means he has to get up at 5:30 every day. I'm about ready to fall asleep on my desk and it's only 9:25...

2. In the queue I have 10 more blocks to do out of the 45 in the metro quilt. The end is in sight! I did 6 in 2 days last week, so I could probably finish the blocks it if I really tried this week- I still don't know if that's going to happen.
3. Rants/Raves/Comments I need to stop second guessing myself on the angles for the metro quilt. And I'm glad I figured out how to do the intersections of the lines in a way that makes it more appealing.
4. Once again, I have NOTHIN' for #4. So, if you have a topic--go for it!!! NCR, my H starts a new job on Friday. Hopefully it will make him happier than the one he is leaving.Stand up for something you believe in.
1. Finished Projects: The baby quilt is done! I'm blogging about it for tomorrow.
2. In the queue: My sister's LSU quilt...she's starting college in August! I'm also ready to work on a laptop bag for myself. :-)
3. Rants/raves/comments: I haven't purchased a piece of fabric in well over 4 months. It's killing me, but I keep telling myself that I need to use up a bunch of the fabric I have currently before I can buy more. It's SO hard..

1. Finished Projects
Didn't finish anything last week :-(
2. In the queue
Got 4/5 fabric strips for my Christmas tree skirt finished - hoping for it to be complete this week. After the skirt's done, I'm going to start on stockings. Also started knitting a blanket for my baby boy - using the "Baby Love" pattern from Ravelry.
3. Rants/Raves/Comments
Failed my 3 hour glucose test last week - going to the dr. tomorrow to find out how to control the gestational diabetes :-( Very bummed...
1. Finished Projects Nothing
2. In the queue Still plugging away on Seascape stole. It's going a bit faster now that I can see the pattern developing. Playing around with a few hats -- I want to learn cables, so I'll probably do this Hermione hat this week. (In time for the movie -- maybe I can wear in the the theater's crazy A/C!)
3. Rants/Raves/Comments I need more yarn and I need to use up lots of yarn. Such a quandary.
4. Once again, I have NOTHIN' for #4. So, if you have a topic--go for it!!! Hot hot hot here. I love summer, but mid-90s and humid isn't so fun.
finished: a baby dress and matching blanket for my new niece that i hurriedly put together to take when we visited her in the hospital.
almost finished: a skirt i've wanted to make for ages. just needs a zipper and hemming. so excited to wear it. plus, a lightweight knit minidress that now just needs embellishment and binding at the neckline. both stolen from pinterest.
queue: cutting out two more summer dresses. we're headed to dallas next week and i need cute clothes that keep me covered yet cool...ish. if i have time, i'll throw in a skirt or two.
raves: girl charlee fabrics (again). the knit fabric i got from them is soft and lovely. and, unexpectedly, IKEA. it's where i picked up the striped fabric for the skirt i'm almost done with.
1. Finished Projects Got nothing done last week.
2. In the queue I need to finish the thank you cards by August 2. I really need to finish the pregnancy scrapbook by September 1.
3. Rants/Raves/Comments Etsy is evil. I see all these cute things but trying not to spend money right now. I guess I should stay off that site
4. Once again, I have NOTHIN' for #4. So, if you have a topic--go for it!!! My friend sent us a huge box of girl clothes and I have decided that our child will probably never wear the same outfit twice
The clothes she sent are so cute and can't wait to put her in them.
1. Finished Projects a few drawstring bags in the past week
2. In the queue have a quilt top done for a French Braid quilt, and I just started working on a dress today. About to go work on it some more.
3. Rants/Raves/Comments I hate it when a project doesn't go well. It bums me out big time!
4. Once again, I have NOTHIN' for #4. So, if you have a topic--go for it!!!

"For this child we prayed..." (1 Samuel 27)
So excited to meet Amelia Catherine!
Finished- A bucket hat to test sizing (O+S book). I think that was this week? It's been a bit of a drought in crafting time this week.
To do/working on- Two corduroy jumpers for fall. I'm so annoyed that I cut the fabric with the suggested 5/8" seam allowance because it's a total waste and I'm not used to working with so much extra! Ugh. I decided I don't like the lining I was planning to use, and need to grab some Kona next time I make it to Joanns.
A 4 shirt for my almost 4yo! I'm going to applique and screen it! Screen printing is so fun- I really have had a blast figuring it out.
And now my new Ottobre got here and I want to start even more things.
Rants/Raves: I've never had a cavity in my entire life. I take dental care SO seriously- my kids get their teeth brushed three times a day and flossed before bed. Gwen's never had juice, doesn't take bottles, only drinks water from a sippie, 99% healthy food, not snacking all day- all the same precautions we took with Gabe- and they BOTH had cavities before they turned 2yo! I wanted to cry today at the dentist- it's so frustrating!
But, I'm not going out on that whiny note, so I'll rave about home made flour tortillas. So yum. So easy! So much healthier than the packaged ones from the grocery store, too.
1. Finished projects : Nada
2. In the queue: Trying to finish this huge cross stitch just to say I did it. I don't like it and it's not my style! http://tiag.com/designs/LL-12.html
3. Rants/Raves/Comments: Nada
4. Still hot in TX!
1) Finished: another skirt for mama, a penguin and baby toy and homemade weebles. Lots to blog about this week. I've been going crazing with creating in the last week.
2) To do: Oodles of ideas. What I need to do is organize my new craftspace!!!!
3) Rant: When people say "I wish I had time to craft". Well, it's not like I"m hanging around bored looking for something to do. I also have a baby, job, house to take care of. I make time. Wow, feels good to have gotten that out.
1. Finished: Baby Play quilt!!!
Here is a link to my blog with pictures: http://noncraftyquilter.blogspot.com/2011/07/play-quilt-done-done-done.html
2. In progress: Finish quilting the synchronized squares quilt along quilt. I am having the hardest time what to do, because you can only do so much with straight lines.... Plus the 10 bagilion quilts I have in the queue, I think I will tackle finishing cutting a quilt for my brother next.
3. Rant: I hate that you have to iron every single thing while quilting! I ironed the backing for my most recent quilt, put it aside and didn't get to basting for about a week, and decided not to iron again, and what do you know, it is a bit crooked! Not too noticeable, but too much for my perfectionist self!
