My very best friend hits the big 3-0 in August. I would like to get her something special/different from what I normally get her for birthdays. (Normal: books, GC's, manicures)
The budget is between $100-$150.
When I hit the milestone, she gifted me a new T3 hair dryer because she knows I love expensive (ish) beauty items, but would never spend that money on myself.
Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions? All are welcome!
Re: Gift Ideas
What is she into that you know she'd never spend money on for herself?
You're a great friend!
I'm a big fan of doing something special for milestone birthdays--like a play, trip, dinner, etc.--rather than gifts. I have everything I need and would rather have that memory. For $100, I'd rather have an evening out with you than a gift--maybe a special restaurant or something. Some of my favorite birthdays with my BFF have been lunch at Cheesecake Factory and then mani/pedis, or brunch and then a play. For my 35th, we all had dinner at PF Chang and then and went and saw Miss Saigon at Bass Hall (that would be more than $100 of course, but you get my drift).
Something like dinner at Simply Fondue and then seeing Bridesmaids or something along those lines would be something I would love.

Just do it!
