What a day yesterday was!! I am still in shock, but now that it is sinking in, I am starting to worry. Sept 2 (12 weeks) can't come soon enough!
So, anyways, of course I took my first pregnancy test at about 1 pm, and I did NOT know how I was going to wait til 6 for DH to come home. I didn't want to tell him on the phone...I mean, the guy thinks he can't have kids biologically, so I thought I;d give him a heart attack by blurting it out on the phone lol.
So, after calling my mom and crying on the phone with her, I called my friend (who is also one of my neighbors) and she ran down to see the tests etc etc. With her help, I concocted a plan to get DH home. Lately, we have found a couple of critters in our sun room (a tarantula and a toad). So, I called him and told him i found a snake in his office and I needed him to come home. Sooooo, I hung the eviction notice on the door...
That is a link to the pic. we are shocked and beyond excited!!! Hopefullyt his baby wilL STICK!
Re: Telling DH!!!!!!!
How fun!
What a cute idea! I'm sure DH loved it!
BTW - Chowdaheadz.com has TONS of cute baby and preggers Red Sox stuff! For Father's Day I got DH a Fenway Onesie from there. I also got myself a Future Red Sox Fan shirt to wear when we go to the games down here.
Congratulations again! I'm beyond thrilled for you. Also glad to know there's Sox fans out there

Ok #1--- you once found a tarantula in your house?? That wasn't a pet?? I am dying at that thought!
Thanks for sharing your story! I am so happy for you
I'm with Lauren...you found a tarantula in your house? Gah, I would keel over.
Very cute way of telling him!
my read shelf:
I lurk mostly lately but there are more of us out here in Tampa. My LO will be going to it's first game this weekend.
OK--It wasn't REALLY a tarantula. My DH is more scared of spiders than I am, but man it was HUGE. HUUUUUUUGE. then about a week later I found the freakin toad in our florida room, so the snake was NOT a stretch of the imagination...especially because our dogs and cat know how to open the door to go outside bc it doesnt latch very well. So sometimes, it will remain cracked for a few minutes before I notice and close it.
He was in SHOCK! He looked at the note on the door, was like WHAAAA? Then he thought I meant Marcus was switching rooms and going into that one, and I'm like noooooo. Then he asked if I was pregnant and when I said yes he was like COMPLETELY in shock. So I should him the pee sticks lol, and then proceeded to pee on another. Then he did ask if it was his LOL, and I am like DUHHHH. It really took like an hour for it to sink in hehehe.
Phew, I'm glad it wasn't really a tarantula. But a really big spider is bad enough! Ugh, now I have chills!
So cool, I am so happy for you. Are you going to update your blog on the bloomin' babies site? I hadn't checked it for a long time but I was thinking about you today and read over all your entries. I didn't really know until today about Marcus, that is so awesome.
Add me to the list of those relieved it wasn't a tarantula. Seriously, I think I would have to move if I found a tarantula in my house.
The eviction notice is so cute! So happy for you guys!

That is so cute!!
Add me to the list of scared of tarantula people!
Love the sign! Congrats again!
We've found a scorpion under our mattress (talk about scary find) and a brown recluse in our laundry (I would have rather found a tarantula at that point). Thankfully, we don't live in that apartment anymore.
