S/O 1st Birthday Gifts
I've been meaning to ask, and the question in SL's post reminded me - what did you get your kid(s) for their 1st birthday gifts? Did you do one big present, as well as smaller gifts?
I've started buying a few things here and there, but that is creating the problem of me wanting to give DS those gifts now rather than waiting....

We will be doing green hard boiled eggs and turkey ham (because we don't eat red meat)(.
I am finishing the cake stand tonight, I hope. Materials from Joann's.
We took monthly photos with those numbered stickers and I will be doing a banner of those.
I will also be finishing the "Happy Birthday Andrew" banner tonight.
My mom made these for the cake smash.
I will make something similar to this for the high chair.
Also will be hanging steamers and Dr. Seussisms from the ceiling.
And yes, I have been waiting my whole life to throw my kid a 1st birthday party, so I'm going all out.
We really didn't do much in the way of gifts for B's first birthday. I think I got him some clothes, etc. But, I knew my family would get him WAY TOO MUCH as it is that the party turned into most of his gift. We did get him a little tiny swingset -- Little Tikes thing that he didn't use. Haha!
For b, we're doing clothes, and again, the party. We bought a big swingset this spring that was partly for B's birthday and partly for b's birthday -- so that's her big gift (and I must say, she's really enjoyed getting it early - haha - since we got it in April!).
We really didn't start getting B "gifts" until he was probably 3...at his 2nd we just gave him some stuff to do outside. Once he hit 3, he kinda knew what was going on and that you get presents for a birthday.
Now, the hard part is reminding to him why he's not getting clothes right now and b is because it's HER birthday! Geesh kid, I don't think you're mistreated!
