I was telling Rodgers this week that, since it takes us forever to watch a DVD from Netflix, we should see if there's an online only option now. We do watch instantly several times a week.
Today, I got an email from them saying that they have unlimited streaming alone or unlimited 1 at a time DVDs alone, either for $7.99. And as of Sept 1, we would have to pay for BOTH plans to keep our current plan, which is $9.99, and has been since I joined 3+ years ago! I'm kind of upset here.
We'll definitely cancel the DVD portion of the plan now...
Re: Netflix
Yeah...I think I'm going to cancel the DVD portion of Netflix, too. I can't remember the last time I watched a DVD from Netflix - that's what Redbox is for.
Lame.
We're doing the streaming thingy and dvd- the one thing that blows to warn you about the streaming--
Not all titles are available.
This is why we're keeping the DVD's. It seems like it takes literally years for a film to become instant. So we'd be buying way more than $2 a month at redbox to make up the difference.
The Sand in My Snow Boots
Yeah...that's why I wanted to keep the DVDs. If it was 7.99 for streaming only vs 9.99 for that and DVDs, I'd pay the $2 so that we could see the non-online movies because we'd probably spend more at Redbox. Not anymore! Bastards.
