Two things: I've been really enjoying the disney references, and how they all pretty much make sence based on their stories, except for this one! Belle used the mirror to see other people, not herself, but I see where they were going with it... I guess it makes the most sence, but she's most likely the least vain one out there (not that Disney made Vain princess...). Maybe Mulan would have worked... with the whole relfection biz...?
And also: I find it pretty ironic that no one wants to post about this one, since usually we're all so eager to talk about ourselves, except for when we have to talk about talking about ourselves...
and I'm leaving you with those thoughts, and not an actual answer to this question... because I'm just like everyone else, and have no clue.
LOL
I'll respond. I'm vain about some things and not about others. I am most vain about my hair- probably because it earns me the most compliments, is the most unusual, etc. I am not that vain about my weight, because it fluctuates frequently based on the season and medication.
Stand up for something you believe in.
TBH, of all the sins, this one is the least like me. I'm too humble to be vain when it comes to looks. I like to AW when something good happens, but I have such horrible self esteem that vanity is the least of my worries.
I'm actually so anti-vain, that when Danny and I were dating, he would point out all the guys "checking me out" (as he said), and I would reply, "They're not checking me out--I must have something in my teeth or my hair is sticking up funny."
And most compliments that I get, I tend to shoot down because I don't believe them. People say, "oh, you look so nice today," and my default reply is "you must be tired and seeing things funny, because I feel like I look like crap. I don't even have make up on."
This is me, to a T.... Chris gets so mad at me too.

It's double when someone compliments my weight (like, you look so thin in that dress, did you lose weight??) I tend to get the "eating disorder" mentality where you think, "Gee, did that bastard think I looked fat before? And what's so special about this dress...I must look like a cow in everything else." Even though those thoughts suck, I also love food too much to have a "true" eating disorder....
Exactly... I'm so there with you, sister...

eh, I'm so much more guilty of some of the other ones. I'm really NOT a vain person at all. I wear minimal make up because I'm lazy. My hair is almost always in a ponytail. The only reason it's not in a pony tail at work is because usually my hair is still wet when I leave the house, so it starts down and gets put up halfway thru the day when its dry. And yes, that's because I'm too lazy to blow dry it.
I like to look nice, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I'm very vain. Although, when we go out to a nice place for dinner or something, I will be the first to admit when I do look good.... Ok, so I guess I'm a little vain.
This. I'm vain to a degree. When I feel cute, it definitely give me a litte extra pep in my step. I would say the majority of the time I'm confident about the way I look, but I can also pick myself apart.
I'm probably more vain about my abilities than my looks. I can see how I'm too confident in that sometimes...... but again extra hard on myself about things I can't do well.
