Hi everyone - my nephew is going to be getting Baptized in a few weeks and I am at a total loss as to what to give as a gift. I want to get something special that won't just get tossed away down the road. Anyone have some good suggestions for things they've given as gifts in similar situations?
The nursery is done as "Cat in the Hat" so I thought maybe a music box to go with it would work but there are remarkably few of them to be found and the one I did find, didn't get very good reviews. (mechanical malfunctions on a music box is a deal breaker for me) They got one as a shower gift that wasn't really meshing with their theme and it got returned so I don't want to go too far off the plan either. ![]()
Re: Baptistm Gift ideas?
My mom gives this to all the grandkids, but usually for their First Communion (I think it makes a great gift for their first sacrament):

He will be able to store all his momentos from all his Sacraments in one spot!
Maybe a simple Cross charm with the baptism date on the back?
Oh! How about the Fisher Price Noah's Ark? He'll play with that for years to come!
