Hello, I have been lurking around this board for a while, but I haven't really posted anything until now. I love anything crafty, but find that I have a hard time finishing all of the projects that I start! I have a short list and a long list, and I still get distracted from finishing anything of them! A while ago, I saw the Market Skirt here. (I know that someone on this board made it and linked back to it!) It looked like something that a I could handle... I consider myself an uneducated sewer who jumps in and figures out how to make things, although a professional sewer would probably say 'what the heck did she do!'
I grew up playing at my grandma's sewing machine making basic patchwork quilts that were 'tied' vs. quilted. I want to expand my sewing ability, and the posts on here have been inspiring!
Anyway, I'm pretty excited at how this skirt turned out and I can't wait to try another one! I think that I'm going to make DD a few fall colored ones for when she starts preschool in a few months. Disclaimer - This pic was taken before I had a chance to run out and buy a shirt to go with it.... She now matches!
Re: 1st skirt and introduction (PIP)
Welcome! I am a random poster but I thought I'd say hello!
Lol what a cute picture! I love that skirt and it looks like your daughter does too!
Thanks
She was soooo excited for me to finish the skirt and she keeps asking for another one!
