eye exam

Where do you go?  I need to get my eyes checked, and we do not have vision insurance.  Call me cheap but I dont want to pay a lot for an exam.  I called Vision 4 less and its $60 for an exam.  That sounded a little high, or is that the norm now?  Its been around 5 years since I have had a check up.

Re: eye exam

  • That doesn't sound expensive to me, but I have vision insurance so I don't actually know how much my exam is (that part is covered 100%).  For some reason I was thinking a yearly check up exam was costing around $100 but maybe I'm wrong.

I've been going to Huseman & Associates in the MHM Lenscrafters for 20 years now. I don't have vision insurance, but they have discounts if you have certain medical insurance plans, so I think I paid closer to $40. It couldn't hurt to ask. My favorite is Dr. Snodgrass and I like Dr. Huseman as well. Dr. Huseman also owns the location the VWM Lenscrafters.
  • My medical insurance covers one eye exam a year.  Call and see if yours does!
