  • No End In Sight

    8: The Mormon Proposition

    Beer Wars

    The Lottery

  • I've got Nursery University, Whatever It Takes and Married in America 2. No diea if any of these are good, but they're in my que.
  • Food Inc, King Corn, The Science of Sex
    Twin boys due 7/25/12
  • The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia

The Devil Came in on Horseback

Dear Zachary (maybe the hardest movie to watch I've ever seen), maybe not a good one as a new mom

Anything Frontline (I love me some PBS)

Waiting for Superman (I was asked to watch this when I was an SES Instructor, and while I don't agree with all the points, it's still thought provoking)

    Small Town Gay Bar

The Way We Get By (about the Maine USO volunteers)

    Bangkok Girl

J really liked Capitalism: A Love Story. He dislikes MM, as I'm sure you guys do, but he liked it anyway.

    Jesus Camp

If you have are an HBO subscriber, you can also watch Sex Crimes Unit on HBOgo, along with lots of others.

I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.

    Small Town Gay Bar

Is this the one about a gay bar somewhere in Mississippi, and how they are watched/harassed by people?  I went on a kick of watching a lot of documentaries of that sort a few years ago.

Jesus Camp was always shown by a local coffee shop on Halloween b/c it's the scariest movie ever.  I agree with that.

It's about multiple gay bars in the small towns of Southern America. Probably the same one.

I absolutely LOVED this one! It was like a trainwreck, I couldn't stop watching.  LOVE LOVE LOVE

  • They played Dear Zachary on MSNBC, I don't think that I cried that hard during a documentary in a really long time. Food Inc is educational and very disturbing.

  • Very Young Girls - documentary about the commercial sex industry in NY and the US. Very powerful.

    Crude

Beer Wars (it's kind of meh, but still interesting)

    Born Rich

But really if you're only going to pick one from this list, make it Very Young Girls.

I feel exactly the same way. These are the two I was going to suggest.

  • I can't believe I forgot my all time favorite doc. Street Fight, about a Trenton, NJ mayoral election. Don't google people until the end!
