I've got a good go-to lunch nailed down, but breakfast still eludes me. Lately I've been bringing a granola bar and a piece of fruit, but man is that boring. I have to admit that these new (to me) granola bars are filling, but I feel like I could be doing better with my breakfasts.
Let's ignore the fact that I'm about to head next door to Tim Horton's for today's breakfast, m'kay?

During the school year, I like breakfasts I can prep and have in the fridge so that I don't have to do much in the morning. One of my favorites is 1/2 c Greek yogurt w/ a handful of frozen berries on top. Left in the fridge overnight, the berries thaw out and are ready to be eaten in the morning. Sometimes I'll throw a handful of Kashi Go Lean Crunch on top and mix it all up. During the winter, I often make a big batch of oatmeal on the stovetop and divide it up into individual containers, so all I have to do in the morning is microwave it.
... every single day of forever.
lol today I had a Fiber One bar with a banana.
Usually though I bring oatmeal with some peanut butter mixed in and sometimes I'll add a banana. I mix it up the night before and let it soak overnight and in the morning at work I pop it in the microwave for abotu 30 seconds to take the chill off so to speak (bc I hate cold oatmeal.) It fills me from about 630 am until noon.
About a year ago I forced myself to eat and like yogurt which was a really hard thing for me to do because of the bitterness...but now that I've found which ones I like and don't like, that generally tends to be my breakfast.
From time to time I'll buy either a case of the fruit Chobani or a tub of plain Chobani at BJ's and have that for breakfast. When there's a good sale at the grocery store, I'll opt to stock up instead on Yoplait Greek yogurts or Yoplait thick and creamy yougurts. If it's a plain Greek yogurt, fruit or granola or sometimes both get tossed in for added "umph" and protein. I think texture definitely had something to do with why I didn't like yogurt before and thicker yogurt is what I prefer.
Despite getting up at 5:30am on most days, I don't eat breakfast until I get to the office and even then, it's usually about 9:00am before I'm eating. I find that it fills me up until lunch and I love that it's a non-fat or very low fat breakfast packed with protein.
The weekends on the other hand, are very different for me. I usually skip breakfast and just have lunch, snack, and dinner.
MyBio
Fage Blueberry Acai yogurt and a banana.
Sometimes I have cereal (Annie's Cinnamon Roll Bunny-Os, Multigrain Cheerios, Kashi Toasted Berry Crumble), sometimes Better Oats oatmeal, sometimes a banana with PB, sometimes a Kind bar or a Clif bar. I change what I eat in the morning a lot.
