We haven't had a weekend post yet
So, how was yours?
We were busy busy busy. Saturday I had a dentist appointment (I was in and out in about 40 minutes, so that was good), lunch and shopping with my family, then dinner with some friends we haven't seen in a while.
Yesterday DH and got together with a Nestie from my other local board for dim sum and then had another couple over for a BBQ dinner.
Lots of fun socializing this weekend!
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

BBQ!!
Friday night we went out with a group of friends to one of those hibachi places. It's always an experience because one of our friends worked there in HS so he knows the staff. The owner always preps our meal and gets wasted while doing so.
Saturday my mom and I spent a few hours together, we got mani/pedis and had lunch together. She did make dinner for us all that night and we all watched The United States of Leland together.
Sunday my dad and DH did a shitton of yard work. We desperately needed it and our LL's yard guy is about as useless as a battery operated lawn mower, so we finally said, "Eff it" and just did it all ourselves. I should seriously post pix of the amount of stuff they cut back. I'll be back!
Saturday DH went to an event in Maine for the day, and DD was not the best behaved child. It was a LONG day.
Sunday we just hung out and got the apt organized to prepare for more crap coming in from our old house soon. We want to have this place looking good so we can wander next weekend. We're thinking Salem
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

Here we go. It's important to note that there are an additional 8 bags full of leaves, twigs, and dead plants. Also, if I stand right next to the piles of branches, it comes up to my shoulders. And I'm 5'6.
WOW! That is ridiculous!!
Yes, my LL's wife likes things to "grow free"
I got sick of crawling through the woods to get to my front door. So now I don't.
OMG Punky! That is a ton of branches. Overgrown landscaping is one of my current pet peeves. I hate seeing rhododendrons that are out of control and growing in front of windows.
My H spent Saturday afternoon pulling weeds and planting flowers for my parents while I sat in the sun and played with their dog. My dad paid for my H's golf round in the morning though so I didn't feel too bad about not helping since he negotiated that deal without me involved.
OMG Punky, thats crazy!
My weekend flew by. Saturday my sister and I took my niece to the Ecotarium. It was a lot of fun. She loved it. Then I spent the afternoon with my MIL and FIL. H had to work all day.
Sunday I cleaned the house all morning. When H got home we went for a short walk/hike and then just hung out on the couch for the rest of the day.
Please. His wife will probably throw a shitfit that we cut everything.
I was thinking the same thing!
We had a really busy weekend. We spent time with the in-laws Saturday afternoon/evening. Then we had breakfast with my parents Sunday. After that we went to my aunt's new home to visit. Then I had a ton of housework to catch up on. I feel like the weekend went by in two seconds.
Salem is one of my favorite places to wander
....we've live in MA for almost 4 years now. We spent a lot of weekends wandering in new towns.
Punky, that's amazing! I hope your landlord's wife doesn't have the balls to get mad at you for cutting that down.
We had a good weekend. Saturday, we bought a new bed, which I am beyond excited about. Our bed is the worst. My husband bought it when we first started dating, but he didn't want to deal with mattress salespeople, so he just ordered it off the internet. (NEVER DO THIS!!!) We've been talking about maybe getting one, eventually, but on Saturday morning, I woke up with a really terrible backache and decreed it the end of the sh!tty bed. We went to Jordan's and got one of their memory foam sets, and it'll be here Friday. I cannot wait to have a good night's sleep!
Other than that, it was pretty quiet. We had the car for the afternoon on Saturday, so we hit up the Container Store and Ben & Jerry's over by the Natick mall, and then ran some errands. Sunday, he caught up on Breaking Bad while I finished one book and started another. And now we have a long weekend to look forward to, because I took Friday off, and he's "working from home" for the day while we wait for the delivery.
On Saturday we drove into Boston to help my sister move. It was crazy hot and we had Lil with us (so that was a bit of a challenge). I wound up packing up the rest of the kitchen and holding doors so I could keep her out of the way for everyone else.
On Sunday we just relaxed at home. DH worked on the"train room"/ playroom in the basement. We're trying to get it mostly done by next weekend when my dad comes to visit because the trains are all for him to play with Lil. While DH was down there Lil and I hopped in the pool to cool down from the heat. Thankfully she loves the water. Then my sister came out to join us for dinner.
