Communiting to D.C. using public transportation
I have to go to DC for a few days next month and was thinking of taking public transportation. Does anyone currently do this and if so what route do you take? I need to end up Dupont Circle in DC and I'm coming from Carroll County so I was wondering if there is anyway to get there from Hunt Valley. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Communiting to D.C. using public transportation
The light rail is really slow.
It sucks that the Baltimore subway (which you could get on at Owings Mills) doesn't hook up with a MARC train.
ETA- how far would it be for you to drive to BWI rail and hop on a train there?
you have to pay for parking at BWI, not sure about Penn Station but I'd rather leave my car at BWI.
Its quick into DC on the MARC. We use it for trips into the city since we can walk to the MARC station from our house.
