S/O WFB- Common foods that you don't like
What are your weird food dislikes- common foods that most people like, that you just can't eat?
Mine- greek yogurt and oatmeal, I wish that I liked both because it would open a new world of breakfast options but I've tried multiple brands of greek yogurt and I can't choke it down. Same with oatmeal, it's a texture thing. Also, whipped cream, whipped frosting, and anything marshmallow, even when I was a little kid. Also a texture thing.
Re: S/O WFB- Common foods that you don't like
I can't eat raw tomatoes. I have no idea why. I love salsa and tomato sauce, just can't do them raw. They smell funny to me.
I don't eat chicken wings.
Yogurt, Cottage cheese, Mushrooms, Scallops, Oysters, mussels, clams - I can't get past the look/texture, Raw fish - I only eat cooked sushi, Olives, Cauliflower, Carrots, Feta cheese
There are more, I'm sure
Actually now that you mention it I hate these too.

I'm the same way, I can't live without ketchup, salsa, tomato soup, and stewed tomatoes, but I can't eat the raw ones. I'm sure there are more, but this is the one that sticks out in my mind.
Tomatoes (my exception to this is pizza & spaghetti sauce).
Condiments, this includes, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish (just typing these makes me want to gag). My exception are some salad dressings.
Mexican food (I will eat cheese quesodillas and fajitas)
Beans (I will eat jelly beans and green beans only)
I'm sure I can think of others, but those are my main ones that most people like.
Oh yeah, I could never do tuna fish either. I can do a tuna steak, but the stuff in the can creeps me out.
Raw mushrooms and stuffed mushrooms are about all I can think of besides oysters and mussels--but I don't think they are "common" foods. I will eat mushrooms in chicken marsala or in a omlet. Oh and brussel sprouts, but again how common are they these days.
I eat pretty much everything and love trying new stuff!!!
A few of these reminded me of mayo- hurl. I can only eat it if it's mixed with lots of other things as part of a dip or as part of a potato salad dressing or something.
Add those to mine.
I can't even stand the smell of egg salad.
Oh, and popcorn. I hate popcorn.
Greek yogurt, jellow and mushrooms... all texture things for me.
Pork - hate it. Can't explain why, just hate it.
Strawberrys
Garlic
Coconut
Mint-chocolate anything
Key Lime Pie or lemon-flavored desserts
- Eggs
- Bananas ~ banana flavored stuff is okay though or if they're blended I'll eat/drink it
- Mayo
- Oysters
- Clams
- Mussels
- Water Chestnuts
- Coconut
- Cottage Cheese
- Oatmeal ~ every now and then I'll try it again, but the texture freaks me out
- Mushrooms
- Green Beans
- Peas
- Lima Beans
I'm sure there's more, but that's all that comes to mind right now. I used to be super picky before meeting DH. My palette has definitely grown over the past 10 years.mayonaise
eggs
yogurt
sour cream
tuna (all forms)
God we're an odd bunch!
1-eggs...on the rare occassion I eat them scrambled, I prefer them fluffy and dry (as in breakfast buffet out of the carton). Otherwise, eww, eww, eww. Deviled eggs really disgust me. They're too slippery/mushy I think...I just don't like the texture. Can't stand egg salad or hard boiled either. Poached, eggs over easy, anything. Yuck.
2-Mayo. It's bad for you and I just don't like it.
3-Mushrooms of any variety.
4- raw oysters. As soon as they go down the hatch they come right back up. I don't know how people enjoy the feel of swallowing a large snot rocket.
5-sushi. not so much for the raw factor, I can handle that, but more so for the seaweed. It's gross and tough and one piece of sushi is always way too big for my mouth yet I can't manage to gnawl through the seaweed for a two-bite bite.
Eggs. I can do scrambled and quiche on occasion but since DD likes her eggs covered in ketchup I can't really stomach them anymore (the sight and the smell of that mixture, barf). My dad has gotten DD into eating hardboiled eggs so now I have to make and peel them for her..I think I will have to say goodbye to eggs forever.
Mushrooms and flan also come to mind...both issues with texture.
Greek Yogurt - I've tried and CANNOT jump on board
Eggs are blah to me. I've never had any that I have loved enough to eat.
Oysters
Fish - I do eat shellfish though
Pork
