So my friend N came over tonight and E went to her house to hang out with her H and their baby girl. We made some strawberry jam and then wanted to make more but didn't have quite enough strawberries so we mixed strawberries with apricots. Oh my goodness its so yummy!!!
Just had to share. Thanks for listening.

Oh my gosh it is! We were kind of shocked that it came out so good because she had never made jams before and I'm a huge fan of following the directions to a tee. But I have to admit thinking outside of the box provided great results this time!
I'm usually a purist when it comes to jams/jellies, but I had the best homemade jam from this little Amish store when I was in Kentucky. An usual combination of fig, raspberry, orange and ginger (aka F.R.O.G. jam) blew my socks off.
Strawberry and apricot sounds awesome now too! All you need is some fresh bread to put it on.

That would be good, however I'm a big fan of jam, and butter on saltines which I have none of currently so I was eating it with a spoon out of the jar that I didn't have enough jam in to seal.
