Re: what r u reading? & kindle users
Earlier in the summer I read Bossypants by Tina Fey, along with everyone else. If you haven't read it, I definitely recommend. It is so hilarious.
I also recommend Room by Emma Donoghue. So unique and chilling. It's about a boy and his mom who are held captive similar to Jaycee Dugard, told from the little boys point of view.
Right now I'm reading One Day by David Nicholls. I love it! It's a great summer read. It's the story of a relationship over the years told from the perspective of what happens on July 15th of every year.
Next I'm going to start the book series that was the basis for Game of Thrones.
I have a kindle. I'd love to try sharing novels on it...I haven't tried yet.
I'm reading Rob Lowes "Stories I've told my friends" - or some title like this. Its pretty good. I also read Bossypants - hilarious.
I read Will Greyson Will Greyson and The Other Wes Moore. Both were very good.
Most of my books on kindle aren't available for sharing. In fact, last time I checked only 1 was and I can't even remember which one now.
My little nuggets
I just finished Room last week and really liked it.
I started The Shack this week.
I have House Rules by Jodi Picoult up next and then probably Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin to take with me on vacation. The Other Wes Moore is on my list to read at some point too.
I also have a bunch of nerdy psychology books that I want to read before school starts up again to help me with my lesson-planning.
I just picked up Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me from the library last night.
Kernal how are you liking Rob Lowe's book? I'm waitlisted for that right now. Is it as juicy as his Oprah interview ages ago made it sound?
tracy--my mom RAVS about the shack and is always trying to get me to read it
let me know what you think...
i have never tries any chelsea books, i think i may try them
Haha - my mom does too! She's read it several times
Considering I am not overly religious (and my mom is), I will be curious to see if I like it as much as she did.
I didn't see the interview but I don't think its THAT juicy. Its good though. I like reading personal stories. I'd recommend.
My little nuggets
nook color versus kindle?
i am leaning towards the color because i could read magazines and pdfs but why is kindle so great?
I also just finished the Hunger Games series and Ashley Judd's autobiography, All That Is Bitter and Sweet. It was not as controversial as the tabloids made it out to be but I really enjoyed it.
I just picked up Green Grass Grace.

bc Amazon is much cooler than B&N. And because the Kindle isn't back lit like a computer screen so its not bad on your eyes.
My little nuggets
I'm reading "Save Me" by Lisa Scottoline. I just started it, and it's good so far.
Does anyone know when you will be able to borrow books from the library on the Kindle? I remember hearing something a few months back that Amazon struck a deal with the company that handles ebooks for the libraries. I am a huge fan of borrowing books from the library.
