To the ladies that have had b-pics done in the past:
Did you tip your photog?
If so, how much did you tip?
And did you tip after the session, or after your prints/albums were received?
I was able to score a LivingSocial deal for a b-pics session, so I'm planning on giving it to Chris as an anniversary present, so I'm saving up as much of my own money as I can to keep this a surprise... just trying to figure out how much more I need to save on top of hair, makeup, and the album. TIA!

Re: Question re: B-pics
I didn't tip her, but she owns her own business. My understanding with tips has always been that if a person is self-employeed you don't tip extra. If they work for part of a larger business, you tip.
I ordered my album online (gosh, can't think of which website for the life of me) and it was $30something. You can probably find a living social or groupon deal for that too. I did my own hair and makeup, so that saved money. I spent a ridicuous amount on lingerie though.

2 5x7s actually came with the deal, so I think thats what I might do....
I was going to do these last year for paper, but because I was pregnant, I decided against it. For this year, one of my "outfits" is going to involve a tshirt that I will then give him as a gift... cotton... tshirt... get it? Yeah..... thats all I got.

I also did an album, didn't tip because she owned the studio and then I bought rights to images that were digitally transmitted.
I used blackriverimaging.com for the book, and it is kind of awesome. The only thing that was a little difficult was cutting the photos for full page layouts into 2 pictures (one for each page) with a tiny bit of overlap to compensate for binding, but PSE made it relatively easy.
I also spent a fair amount on lingere and did my own hair and makeup (with the help of dbucks).
Stand up for something you believe in.
no advice or help, just reminds me how much I want to do b-pics. I really need to lose this weight....
(as I sit here eating goldfish with my lunch)
haha this... but substitute homemade mac and cheese for goldfish.

Yeah, my plan was to put it off as long as I can to make sure I would get them in time for our anniversary and lose as many lbs as I could before the session....... I dont think i'm going to look as good as I want to.
