this pregnancy is kicking my assss already!
i dont know if it was like this the last time and i was just so crazy happy to be pregnant that I didnt care, but the nausea and headaches and lower back pain this time around are killer. i dont even want to get out of bed. and NOTHING sounds good to eat.
i know..poor me, poor me. just thought i'd vent. H is being great about doing a lot for Bennett and everytthing...but he's old enough that he wants his mommy so i end up still doing everythign anyway. ugh!

I lost 10lbs in a 4 week span. I had no energy and nothing sounded good. Luckily for me at the time I didn't have a job and nothing major to do except take care of the house. H even got stuck making food for himself. I was also a little depressed because of other issues going on here, so things got a little better around 7-8 weeks, but it wasn't till I woke up the day my 2nd tri started and felt like a new woman.

i lost 10lbs at first last time too. i drank much more at that time though so i attribute most of that to just quitting drinking. ha! i dont even know what i weigh right now so it will be interesting to see at my 1st appt next month.
i just can't get the energy to do much. i have to work and thankfully i can be comfortable at home while i do it...but these headaches are killer. H said i had them last time, but wow...brutal!
and the little voice saying "mommy" makes it impossible to just take naps in the evenings.
Aw, I'm sorry you feel bad! Want me to drive over there and bring you some gingerale and crackers?
I was wondering too since I don't think I was around for your last pregnancy - how does it affect your lupus? ...or vice versa? Does it make you extra sick? I hope not!!
you're so sweet. i seriously considered calling my dad to bring me food...but i really couldn't think of anything i could eat. the last two days i've subsisted on bagels. should probably get some actual nutrients in...
so I see a high risk OB..i can take some of my medications safely with my pregnancy so that's good. i think the big thing for me is my BP...it was high for my last pregnancy and i eventually developed pre-eclampsia which is why Bennett was so early. i had a great pregnancy though...i felt amazing (apparently after the 1st trimester!)...they say people with Lupus either get better, get worse, or stay the same...and i was lucky enough to get better while i was pregnant. i felt healthy for the first time in a long time...so we'll see how this one goes. i'm nervous about the BP and risk of pre-eclampsia....the only cure of it is to deliver the baby, so whenever it sets in, i have to deliver. it's a scary thought. i'm hoping for a girl this time around...not just because i already have a boy...but because girls stronger than boys as preemies...they seem to do better. white males have a much higher rate of longer NICU stays, problems, etc.

I'm glad you already have the high risk OB and everything in place so they can monitor you from the beginning. Maybe we can all just distract you until 2nd tri so you feel great again!
I hope you feel better ASAP! I imagine it's only that much harder when you have a LO already.
I forgot Bennett was born early...how premature was he?
he was almost 6 weeks early. he weighed 5lbs 6.5 ounces so he was a good size but spent 12 days in the NICU.
