Tree trimming recs?

We have a medium sized maple tree that needs some serious trimming to get it shaped for further growth. Anyone have recommendations for good companies? (Licensed and bonded.) Thanks!

Re: Tree trimming recs?

  • I just had some work done and it was a huge pain.  The tree companies are quite busy right now and it seems like if you try to negotiate on price or have a small job, they want nothing to do with you.  We went with Northeast Tree, Inc., mainly because their price wasn't astronomical and they actually returned phone calls.  Imagine that. They also did a nice job.

  • Thanks, that is helpful!

It seems like everyone in our neighborhood uses Ryan's - I think I actually got a rec from JosiePosy now that I think about it.

They were by far easiest people to work with. They also explained how tree trimming works and when to trim trees. We had a silver maple (I think) that we wanted trimmed back in August of last year - but they couldn't do it until the tree went dormant. So I feel like I learned something in the process.

yep this is who I recommend. Ryan is easy to work with, inexpensive, and does great work. We have used them a few times.
