Wishful Wednesday
I wish I could freeze time until I get through my to-do list.
I wish I could pass off this project at work - usually I don't mind learning new things, but I really don't have any interest in fertiliser minerals mining.

Ella cut a tooth yesterday and was not fussy, no fever, nothing...I was shocked "Wow there is a tooth in there!"...I hope the rest go the same way!

I wish all the mortgage paperwork was finished so we could close on the house already.

that DH would stop being so impulsive an start thinking things all the way through instead of just the immediate impact.
that DH would get back into a solid work mode (sorry but in sales, the more you work, the more you make and somebody seems to think he's on summer vacation.)

I wish...
that I could break out of this funk I'm in today. I've been thisclose to tears since arriving at work and I'm feeling like an awful advisor today (one little email triggered this, ugh). I know I have a really REALLY hard student coming in later, and I need to get out of this mindset before she comes in to see me.
that DH's company would give him tuition reimbursement for the fall semester. I know it can't happen until after he has been there 6 months, but we're wishing here, right?
that my flights/transportation/accomodations for this work training I'm going to this weekend go smoothly
that I learn a lot at the conferences this weekend
that the atmosphere at work would be a little less stressful. I feel like I can't accomplish anything b/c I'm always being pulled in 3 different directions.
that I could find some summer clothes to wear this weekend
that DH and I could work our way out of debt by the end of this year
Is it acceptable to start wishing for a BFP in two weeks?
I wish for that!
I wish
- that I didn't feel like poop and that Maggie didn't have a cold too. We are a happy bunch here today!
- that I had a money tree!
- that the warm weather would last forever!
- that it was the weekend
- that busy season isn't as bad as I know it will be
- that Maggie gets used to daycare and doesn't cry when I leave her there tomorrow
- that the job Matt applies for actually works out
I have to add one more:
I wish my husband would take care of the dam* lawn already. The lawnmower "broke" Sunday - it wouldn't start. This after (conveniently) I told him we were not going to the pool until the lawn was mowed b/c it had been TWO weeks since he last did it. And how convenient that it wasn't working.
In the 3 days since then he's done NOTHING about it. I'm livid. Not only does our lawn look bad - but he's going to kill it and we spent a lot of money on it in the spring.
This is completely out of character for him - he's usually anal about the lawn, but all I know is my patience are running out VERY quickly...

I wish I didn't have to work the rest of the week at 4 AM.
