BFing and teeth

Ugh...seriously are my nursing days over?? He keeps biting me and frick it hurts! 2hat should I do? I've been pulling him off and telling him no but wanted to see what advice anyone had. Oh and here's a nasty for ya...this morning while pumping at work I thought I saw something in the tubing. So I pulled the tubes out of the boob thinggs and didn't see anything...looked and looked and found it...there was a bug! A bug! In my tubing...sick!!! How the hell does a bug manage to crawl in the tubing??? Man I boiled all my shizz forever after that!

  • R never got the don't bite the boob that feeds you memo either. He used to clamp down and pull. And he got the top two and the bottom two in all at the same time. It was horrible. I e/p after that. So from 7 months to 12 months, he got bottles and I pumped.
  • How long have you been trying to pull baby off and say no?

It'll take some time for them to get it.

My kids eventually figured it out.

    Good luck!

  • Ditto Patti.  :-)

  • It just started yesterday or so and I figure it will take some time. Just didn't know if that is what I should be doing or something else. I will definately kcontinue trying and hope it works!

  • Keep at it.

I always un-latched them. Then held my my finger up to their lips and said "no" firmly, yet gently (makes sense, right) :)

Maybe a week's time total.....I don't remember Josie doing it at all, so its been a while.

  • My kid bit down and threw his head backwards once during a 2am feeding.... I screamed, he screamed, DH came running, and that was the end of my BFing days. :)

    ha!

I just pulled her off and stopped the session.   This worked w/ my 2nd one.

The 1st one didn't care and thought it was much more fun to bite.  I gave her a lot more bottles because I was on pins and needles during each nursing session waiting for the bite.   GL!

  • My SIL tells a story of how her youngest bit her and started laughing when she reacted.
